I think people love babies so much because they irresistably bring us into the present moment, and they tend to make the present moment pretty darn enjoyable!  This is my daughter’s lesson to me today (and all days) — to slow down, to look around, to drink in each moment (as I interact directly with her *and* as I thin carrots while she plays on a nearby blanket, and as I write now while she explores the bedroom).  Thanks, Aurora, for this gift.
