Ceremonies and rituals are some of the ways we create and honor changes, either intentional change (like a marriage) or unexpected change (like a death). Engaging through ritual helps us acknowledge and embrace the change, and prepare to move forward on a new path with confidence and clarity.
Ceremonies Offered:
Weddings
Funerals/Memorials
Baby Blessings
House Blessings
Ceremonies for Personal Change/Intention Setting
Divorce Ceremonies
Rites of Passage for all ages (especially children, teens, and elders)
Rituals for Seasonal Changes (Solstice/Equinox)
Other Community Celebrations/Mournings
For weddings, my favorite couples to work with are those who want a creative, personal ceremony that reflects who they are as individuals, and as a couple. As an ordained interfaith minister, I joyfully work with people of all religious traditions (and especially serve the “spiritual but not religious” population) to create a wedding full of personal meaning and significance, laughter, and connection.
I am certified to perform wedding ceremonies in the state of Virginia, and usually travels within 1.5 hours of Charlottesville, including Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive) and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Other states are possible, with enough advance notice for dealing with bureaucracy.
See my listing on Wedding Wire for more information on wedding services. Contact me here for more details about other ceremonies with Rev. Kate!
